Leon timbo / Marcell & The Truth / Koffee / Baub Bidon

Leon Timbo: Leon Timbo combines Soul Music, folk expressions, and R&B dynamics in an Acoustic casing that's surgical. His new album set to release this May, "Soul Sessions," a sonic diversity of tunes dealing with issues ranging from love, emotions, and friendship, which is a journey that leads the listener to the creator. It is a piece of his soul to anyone who dares to listen.

Many find it easier to mirror greatness rather than creating it themselves because creating it requires time passion and the ability to be misunderstood. But every once in awhile, we stumble across an artist who's not only gifted with wonderful vocal presence, exceptional songwriting skills and undeniable charisma, but who also possesses the kind of originality and vision to back it all up.

Fans of Soul Music, rejoice!! Leon Timbo, has what it takes. In Leon Timbo offers a diversity of tunes dealing with issues ranging from love, emotions, and friendship, which is a journey that leads the listener to the creator. It is a piece of his soul to anyone who dares to listen.

"My songs are birthed in secret places on a stage of transparent prayers… so they require the listener to be ready to be transparent in their listening," explains Timbo

Marcell and the Truth: In a time when the music industry has grown too smart for itself, and radio stations fill the air with overproduced, mechanical songs that are more about attitude than music, a casual listener would be led to believe that organic soul music no longer existed. And that's what makes an album like Hopes Too High that much more special. Sounding like they simply grabbed their instruments in a club and started playing, Marcell & the Truth deliver a stunning set of songs here that are equally inspired and inspiring.

The group effectively mixes elements of jazz, soul and blues, sounding like the rightful heirs of Frankie Beverly and Maze, but with slightly rougher edges.

Koffee: An amazing performer who is best described as a hypnotic blend of urban/jazz/scat and poetic fusion.  She has a flair all her own; the southeast underground “soulmusicheads” already know and love her style.

Koffee’s range and raw emotion in every not is incredibly profound and riveting to say the least.  The perfect marriage of Billie Holiday to the Roots or Sade’s meets hip hop.   Music made for Lovemaking, silent crying, soul searching, head bopping, beach walking or moon lit dinners.

Baub Bidon:  tTe classic dope azzed urban gritty poet that makes you see things in life that you consciously choose not to see. Between the beat boxing and harmonica skills on pieces like Ghetto Jazz to his community arts activism in and on the streets of New Haven.  Definitely entertaining and enlightening.  Baub adds the finishing touches on what may be one of Organix Soul's most potent line ups to date.
